Complete Training System
Whether it’s Sports Performance Training or Personal Training, the process for helping your or your athlete achieve your goals remains the same.
We must get to Know Your Body
To achieve your full potential, we first need to know what you’re capable of doing and what you should be doing to obtain maximum results.
For power athletes, that means knowing your sprint and agility times, vertical leap times, strength and power measurements, and possibly height, weight and girth measurements.
For aerobic athletes, that means measuring how your body utilizes fats, carbs and protein for fuel, and then using that information to increase your performance using zone training. I measure this by doing a Continuous Metabolic Assessment, which is a 30 minute run, row or bike assessment which accurately measures your body's fuel utilization over the course of a 30 bout of exercise. In addition, you will be given a before, during and a post-race nutrition needs and strategies guide.
For baby boomers and weekend warriors, the pressures of a full-time job, raising the kids, keeping a roof over your head and the lights on has gotten in the way of your own health needs. Now, that you've made the decision to prioritize yourself, the question becomes, "where do I start?"
The Metabolic Profile is your starting place. We do an Active and/or Resting Metabolic Assessment to find out how many calories you should be eating each day to achieve your ideal look or run your perfect race, and how easily can you make that heppen when doing performing your workouts.
You need to Nourish Your Body.
Nutrition is a HUGE part of making sure your body can meet the demands of your sport and in obtaining you weight loss goal. Your nutrition choices will also help you recover properly from your training sessions.
The key is not to calorie count, which rarely, if ever works. But to EDUCATE you so that you make the correct nutrition choices based upon your unique body type and goals.
A semi-monthly session is part of the program. During this session we discuss your progress and make any necessary changes based upon your feedback and body analysis to ensure you have continued progress and to help eliminate plateaus.
Lastly, you have to Move your Body!
Your training at some point should mimic your daily activity or sport as closely as possible. Our training programs are built upon the information we obtained from Knowing Your Body and Nourishing Your Body.
Then I put together a training program for your success. Now it’s up to you to make the move and come in to see me. Get your evaluation and have a program set up to meet your specific needs.

A prerequisite for training is Metabolic Testing to ensure the best, and fastest results for you. (See Below).
Metabolic Assessments help you determine exactly how hard you need to work out in order to achieve your ideal body weight or look.
The Active Metabolic Assessment (AMA) determines where your heart rate should be to figure out where your body burns the most fat effectively. The test takes approximately 35-45 minutes to complete, and when you finish, you receive 8 weeks of customized workouts based upon your unique fat burn zones.
The Resting Metabolic Assessment (RMA) determines exactly how many calories you need to eat to lose weight, maintain weight, or gain lean muscle mass. This test takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and a nutrition consultation is included.
Combine Training and Testing
Combines are designed to give the professional or college coach a few tools to help determine if an athlete has the skills necessary to succeed in their organization. There are definite keys to doing your best on the combine test. Let us show you what they are.
